THE MARKET
South Beach Overview - 2020
This data is pulled from the official San Francisco Multiple Listing Service.
South Beach offers residents a dense urban feel in the heart of San Francisco. Known for its vibrant lifestyle, many young professionals find South Beach the perfect place to live. With a median home price of $1.2 in the last year, South Beach is one of the most coveted neighborhoods in San Francisco.
During 2020, 315 homes were listed from which 207 were sold during the same year. New developments indicate the growing demand in this neighborhood. 63 new homes were listed in the last 3 months.
On average and in 2020, a home stayed, on average, 40 days on the Market before it was sold, which denotes the high competition this coveted neighborhood has. Homes on average are spacious and spaces are well-optimized. The average price per square foot was $1,196 in 2020.
Most of the homes in South Beach are condominiums. Due to the recent changes the market experienced during the pandemic, fewer homes were sold in 2020 compared with the previous year. Nevertheless, the median price per sq. ft this year was higher than the median price in San Francisco.
The latest analysis sets South Beach median price per sq.ft price over, aligned with neighborhoods like Mission Bay or Financial District. Its desirable enclave and growing amenities set South Beach as a unique opportunity rarely available.
